every month my father
takes over $500 worth
of pills prescribed
by his doctor but
still feels like shit
sits in his chair all day
too weak to do much
of anything else
he’s diabetic
and blind
and has congestive
heart failure
and now he has
to go on
dialysis so
they want to restrict
the amount of fluids
he drinks each day
and still
there’s all those fucking pills
