December 1998 / Volume One / Issue Three

LEFT IN A PHOTO ALBUM

OF A CAR MOVING WEST, THERE WAS A PICTURE

RIPPED IN THIRDS,

THEN TAPED TOGETHER AS A MEANS OF MEMORY RECYCLING.

I STILL SEE HER AS THE CELLULOID BEHIND A LENS,

OVEREXPOSING HERSELF

FOR THE CONTRAST.

HER FACE NOW LINEATED WITH LONG WHITE SCARS

BEARING THE PERFORATION OF A NECESSITY TO SEPARATE

FROM FULL PICTURES.
