WAR MIRROR

GOING THRU BOXES of R.P.C.*
I REDISCOVER this BOOK CALLED
"NAM"--
I DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS in this
BOX SO IT SEEMED LIKE an
EPIPHANY to ME--
SOMEONE GAVE IT to ME a
LONG TIME AGO--
I WONDERED WHY but BEING a NICE GUY I
TOOK IT and SAID "THANK YOU" ANYWAY--
I WAS in "THAT MOVIE"--
SORT of SPOILS the ENDING--
AS I NOTED IT'S SHORT/SWEET TITLE a
FUNNY THOUGHT STRUCK ME--
the TITLE--
"NAM"--
NAM is MAN SPELLED BACKWARDS--
a QUICK SICL SATORI
ENLIGHTENS MY MIND'S LOCKandLOAD--
MAN in the BACKWARD MIRROR
REINVENTING DE EVOLUTION with the
DEADLY SPEED of an M-16 ROUND--
THAT LITTLE TUMBLING LEAD INSECT with the
STINGTHAT TURNS FLESH into SAUSAGE in
SEVEN DIFFERENT BODY PARTS SIMULTANEOUSLY--
JUST WHAT I WANTED
MORE EXHAUSTING EXHAUSTED
FUCKED UP FLASHBACK FUNERAL PHANTOMS
SLINKING THROUGH MUDDY TUNNELS in MY MIND
I LEFT UNIMPLODED
LONG AGO and FAR AWAY--
STILL THIS IDEA TRICKS ME into
LETTING IT STICK AROUND for
C-RATIONS and CASUAL CONVERSATION--
MAN IS WAR SPELLED BACKWARDS
WAR IS MAN SPELLED BACKWARDS
(ACTUALLY WAR IS RAW SPELLED BACKWARDS but
WE WILL PLAY with THAT some OTHER TIME)
I HAD a BACKWARD MIRROR a WAR MIRROR--
IT WAS a PALM-SIZED SIGNAL MIRROR I
STRATEGICALLY RELOCATED (STOLE) from a
MOHAWK SURVIVAL KIT--
(The MIRROR with the AIMING HOLE in the
MIDDLE of ITS SCREAM for HELP)
I THINK ABOUT SMALL THINGS THAT WOULD
FIT on a WAR MIRROR--
the SEIKO WATCH  I BOUGHT at the
BIEN HOA PX for $300.00 WOULD
FIT on THAT MIRROR
MAKING TIME RUN BACKWARDS like
UNDOCUMENTED BON PO MAJIK--
