| A Courtship in Cuts Guy came in with an overgrown crewcut, wanting something he could comb to one side. “Meet a girl?” I asked. “Got me.” He had a cut before popping the question. I watched his lips rehearse. Next time I saw him he had a ring. “Set a date?” “Week before Christmas.” Last time I saw him, the ring was gone. I didn’t ask, and he didn't say, but I swear he grayed ten years in three months. |
