There’s an Easy Explanation for Everything
Pissing against the brick wall
of the Presbyterian church
off Whittier Boulevard
wondering
drunk
if God would come out
to beat our asses.
But it seemed
as if they had him
locked in there
pretty good
and so we thought
we got away
clean
the only price paid
being
a stream
of piss
rolling against the sole
of Richard’s running shoe.
Its been a long time
(13 years)
and I’d just like to say,
“Dear God,
I think we both know
I’ve suffered enough.
Let it fucking go
already.”
