Swinging At The Fences

the stack of bills leans toward me when I walk by
somehow they know they are overdue

I can hear them whispering

x amount due after this date

she took the tv and the box spring

the tv I donít really care about
but I shouldíve known better than to combine our beds

now there is a strange dustless square on my dresser
that I donít want to wipe clean

and I sleep on a mattress on the floor
