Marli

She sits on the floor and counts her money out. Bronze and silver.
Talking
to herself. Thinking that I am listening.

I look at her and nod my head. Try to listen to what she is saying. The
odd
word comes through from her mumbling lips.

Spittle drops onto her cardigan.

It's not fair is it love. I知 not normal am I. They are horrible they
are
love. That Margaret she痴 horrible to me she is. Said I cant go
swimming
love. I知 not normal am I.

I stare at her. She writes numbers down in her little book. Moves the
coins
around the floor. I nod.

She bullies me she does love. I知 not normal am I. I知 70 I am love.

I take my phone out of my pocket and point it at her. Put it on to
camera
mode. Black and white effects. Start filming her. She hasn稚 got a
clue. She
carries on mumbling. Carries on dribbling. I carry on nodding and
smiling.

I look at her on the phone. On the camera. Poor old thing. She gets to
her
feet.

Have you got a pencil love. They gave me a lovely little pencil last
week
love. Have you got a pencil?

I shake my head. No.

I値l see you next week love. Thank you love.

She waddles along. Her little bag over her arm. Spit all down her
cardigan.

See you next week love. Thanks love.

I press stop on the camera. Bye.
