i love robert frost, but was never
any good at writing about plants.
i decided to love living in chicago
where the literate smoke and talk to
bums with city wisdom and everybody
is nobody's business.
now i'm back to living with the
plants, where anything is news
and the farmers still drive too
slow but at least they all
have cell phones and last year
there was a homicide and
last month there was a rape.
