REFUSING SILENCE
Walking Shadow

This is not an apology
I couldn’t muster one if I had to

This is not a manifesto
I don’t know how far one of those would fly these days

This is not a wish list
those are for children and consumer junkies

This is
what it is
like everything else, see

This is the line between magick and reality
made thin with art
with stories
with poetry
with deftly worded conversation
with love

I love the friends I have gathered here with
in the land where freedom died
the day it was conceived

I want to shake the world
I want to take it and hold it by its throat
and teach it to breath

I want to want and need to be in a place where I no longer need

With out art and our crafted words
the paradigm to find paradigm will be shattered

Metaphors will replace lies

Truth brought to flesh with images we’ve made into life

I’ve felt a stifle as of late on my inspiration
I think the TV is trying to kill my ideas
like abortions in my mind

Together we are the voice to silence the squelch of propaganda

Together we can do it
we can make the dream
that so many have lost
our reality

A New Bohemia

A world where our children can live

A world we can bring them into
with faith
and with no guilt

A security
so unlike the color-coded carrot
the State dangles
before the idiot masses

A freedom beyond the old understanding
beyond the one that was killed by 401ks and healthcare lies

I can see these things
I have to see them

They are just about all that drives me:

My Friends

Our Art
and

Our Dream
