| She is Going to Have a Baby . . . She is going to have a baby and I am reading a book on what an expecting father is supposed to do, and she is drinking an ice tea. I am also reading about Cuban teachers in the Western Sahara, which one might think is my way of changing the subject, but actually I am wondering how my child will look at maps, navigate roads, apply pressure to the brakes. She is going to have a baby and I am looking up the definition of Taoism, and I am still not changing the subject, only advocating life and many gods, but I am unwilling to give up material possessions, and I am unable to find any loopholes in our Random House Dictionary. |
