| First Day of Summer she wore a sundress covered with flowers glided over and asked me to buy her a drink said her name was Summer told me her parents gave her that name because she was conceived on the solstice and I couldn’t stand to look at her for very long gazing at her was like staring at the sun but we laughed and drank together until she asked me to take her back to my place we had to walk and it rained all the way home |
